Ultrahuman, renowned for its innovation with smart ring technology, has acquired viO HealthTech, a company specializing in women’s health technology. This acquisition aims to enhance Ultrahuman's offerings in cycle and ovulation tracking.
The newly launched Cycle and Ovulation Pro plug-in, designed for the Ultrahuman Ring AIR, marks a significant advancement. This tool enables users to meticulously track their cycles, plan for fertility with ovulation confirmation, and recognize patterns such as variations in ovulation timing. Moreover, it allows the logging of moods and symptoms, providing insights into overall wellness trends.
The technology powering Cycle and Ovulation Pro originates from viO’s OvuSense fertility monitors. With over 15 years of development and a dataset of more than 260,000 cycles, it stands as a robust solution for personalized health insights.
Unlike other menstrual tracking platforms, which typically cater to women with regular 28-day cycles, Ultrahuman’s advanced system supports a wide range of cycle patterns. This is particularly beneficial for those with unique conditions such as PCOS, endometriosis, or thyroid disorders, ensuring a more accurate and supportive experience.
The Cycle & Ovulation PowerPlug continues to be available for free, providing basic tracking tools and predictions. However, the premium Cycle and Ovulation Pro is offered at $3.99 per month or $39.99 annually, in the U.S., U.K., EU, Australia, and Canada, with plans for global availability.
